Playfvl (“the app”) is made by PJS Solutions LLC (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information the app handles and how. The short version: your Moments live in your own iCloud account, we do not run servers that store your content, and we never sell your personal data.
The Moments, notes, ratings, dates and other details you enter are stored on your device and synced through Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit) in your private iCloud database. PJS Solutions LLC cannot read this data. An iCloud account is required to use sync and partner sharing.
If you choose to invite a partner, the app uses Apple’s CloudKit sharing so that shared Moments are visible to the person you invite. Sharing only happens when you send an invite and your partner accepts it. You can stop sharing at any time from within the app, and either partner can leave the share.
If you grant permission and leave “Save workout to Health” on, Playfvl (including its Apple Watch app) can save a workout to your own Apple Health store. We do not receive this data. Health access is entirely optional, can be turned off in iOS Settings at any time, and Health data is never used for advertising or shared with third parties.
If you choose to pin a place on a Moment, the app asks for location permission at that time. The pin is stored with that Moment on your device and is only shared if you include the place in a partner share.
Optional Face ID or passcode lock is evaluated by iOS; the app only learns whether unlocking succeeded. Optional backup files you export are encrypted with a password you choose and stay wherever you save them.
Optional Premium purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your payment card details.
Discreet mode changes the app’s appearance and home-screen icon on your device. It does not send any data anywhere.
You can delete individual Moments, or all of your data, from within the app. Because your data is stored in your iCloud account, you can also remove it via iOS Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Storage. If you need help deleting your data, email us at pauljstanger@gmail.com.
Playfvl is intended for adults (17+) and is not directed to children.
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new effective date.
